After realizing the unfair treatment and issue behind the release and order of BTS 2022 solo albums, fans believe that HYBE is highly likely sabotaging their solo activities. Do you think so too? Check out the following discussions and see if you have the same opinion as these fans.
HYBE is Allegedly Sabotaging BTS 2022 Solo Albums and Activities with the Release Order
The order release of BTS j-hope “Jack in the Box” and Jin “The Astronaut” will be problematic after fans sensed that HYBE might have been sabotaging these solo albums and activities.
On October 19, a Korean online community post brought up a request to hold the release of BTS Jin “The Astronaut” solo album after knowing that there would be problematic issues regarding the albums’ order.
HYBE Problematic Decisions Regarding the Order and Release of BTS Solo Albums and Activities
BTS Jin’s “The Astronaut” Solo Albums Available for Overseas Order A Month After the Release Date
Previously, HYBE announced that the BTS Jin “The Astronaut” release date was October 28. However, the physical release of BTS Jin’s solo album will only be available for order in South Korea. That is because HYBE would release the physical album overseas a month after its official release date.
This policy will be highly problematic, especially considering how the success of any Kpop releases is measured from three crucial checkpoints: 24-hour, 1-week, and 1-month sales. Knowing that the order of BTS Jin solo albums will be available overseas a month after “The Astronaut” release date, it would highly affect the sales count of the crucial 1-month threshold.
That is why fans took to social media and online communities to request a delay in BTS Jin’s 2022 solo album release. They demanded that HYBE change their decision and make BTS Jin “The Astronaut” solo album available for worldwide order on its release date or delay the release to early November.

Overseas release of JIN's solo single #TheAstronaut & delivery date of album are more than month apart. It is expected to negative affect initial record.

BTS J-hope “Jack in the Box” Has NO Physical Album
BTS Jin is not the only one who receives problematic decisions for solo albums and activities.
Before Jin, member j-hope was the first BTS member who released their solo album in 2022, “Jack in the Box”. For two years, the BTS member worked relentlessly in preparing this album release. “Jack in the Box” was j-hope’s precious and beautiful creation. It is tangible proof of his hard work and sleepless nights.
Unfortunately, HYBE had allegedly not valued “Jack in the Box” as much as fans expected.
Following the release and order of BTS j-hope “Jack in the Box” solo albums, HYBE did not seem to go all out in the promotional efforts. Previously, even when the enthusiasm of j-hope “Jack in the Box” was terrific, HYBE decided to skip releasing its physical CD for the album.
According to HYBE, they wanted to make j-hope’s album as an example to test their environmental-friendly policy. That is why they decided not to release any physical CD for “Jack in the Box”.
However, it turns out that this policy only applies to BTS j-hope solo albums and activities. That is because after “Jack in the Box” release, HYBE is still making physical CDs available for their other artists.
As a result, “Jack in the Box” couldn’t enter Billboard 200 because it didn’t have any physical album. And fans believe that HYBE is doing it on purpose. They are upset that HYBE treats “Jack in the Box” more like a company experiment than j-hope’s relentless hard work.
Hybe used JitB to gain ESG points to help their corporate image and mismanaged the sales and distribution.

JitB had success despite HB not because of them,it would've done even better if HB did their job.
Hobi deserved HBs best.
This is not HBs best👇#JusticeForJitB #CDSforJHope pic.twitter.com/aVQQlgsvGJ
1. No cds was @HYBEOFFICIALtwt's decision, they used j-hope's hard work as an experiment

2.Hybe never planned on treating JitB as a proper album
3.j-hope worked so hard, was so excited about a Kaws cover which still hasn't been on an album,he had ambitions for it#JusticeForJitB pic.twitter.com/YwE2oUZj8O
Suspected Reasons Behind the Alleged Release and Order Sabotage
Due to this ridiculous mismanagement and unprofessionalism, fans believe that HYBE is sabotaging BTS 2022 solo albums. They had allegedly limited the release and order of these BTS solo albums and activities due to various suspected reasons.

HYBE Allegedly Wants to Prove They Can Depend Less on BTS
It is no longer a secret that BTS is HYBE’s largest source of revenue these past few years. That is why the public’s sentiments to the whole group and company very much depend on BTS well-being and future.
With BTS members going to the military, shareholders started wavering that HYBE had to make official promises of their growth despite the absence of BTS members. That is why fans believe that HYBE is putting a limit and sabotaging BTS 2022 solo albums intentionally. They believe the company wants to prove that it can survive even when it is less dependent on BTS.
they are trying WAY TOO HARD to make it seem like they depend less on bts. hybe is really starting to annoy me https://t.co/0Bae7vTNLG

Hybe just thinks bout thier profit for the company not for what bts has contributed in this past 10 years shame on them the Korean government for not exempting from military but kudos to MA boys for pulling off such a brave face 👏 🙄

Maintaining BTS as Group by Allegedly Limiting Their Stance as Solo Artists
Secondly, fans suspect that HYBE reportedly sabotaged BTS solo albums and activities in 2022 because they want to maintain the BTS brand as a group. And they did it by limiting the members’ position and value as solo artists.
Many Kpop groups managed to rise above others with the help of a one-member rising brand, including Suzy and Miss A, Cha Eun Woo and ASTRO, as well as Rowoon and SF9. Apparently, fans believe this is something HYBE doesn’t want for BTS. Instead, the company wants to maintain the BTS brand as a group and will likely keep doing so in the future. And to make it happen, they decided to limit how much a member could rise as a solo artist.
While this may be a wonderful stance for BTS as a group, it also prohibits members from growing according to their own styles. At the end of the day, even when the BTS brand may last for decades, all the members must keep adjusting themselves to fit the primary concept of the BTS brand without being able to fully explore their own strength and styles.
Do You Also Think HYBE is Sabotaging BTS 2022 Solo Albums and Activities?
At last, what is your opinion regarding HYBE unfair treatment to BTS solo albums and activities 2022? Do you also believe they are sabotaging the release and order of BTS solo albums on purpose? Or have they made all the decisions according to the wish of each BTS member?
