1st Week of June 2023: DR. ROMANTIC 3 and Lee Dong Wook Top Most Buzzworthy Korean Drama and Actor Rankings
The Good Data Corporation generated the weekly most buzzworthy Korean drama and actor rankings by analyzing data from various sources. These include news articles, blog posts, online forums, videos, and social media. Moreover, the analysis encompasses current airing dramas and those scheduled to air soon.
Dr. Romantic 3 has maintained its position as the most buzzworthy Korean drama in the weekly rankings of the Good Data Corporation for two consecutive weeks. However, the lead actor, Ahn Hyo Seop, dropped to the No. 4 on the actor list compared to the previous week.
Additionally, the return of Yoo Yeon Seok to the show after his appearance in season 1 heightened the excitement among fans for the series. The actor entered the list of the most popular Korean drama actors at No. 5.
Furthermore, during its final week on the air, JTBC’s Doctor Cha held its position at the No. 2 on both rankings. The drama’s lead actress, Uhm Jung Hwa, climbed to No. 2 on the actor list. Kim Byung Chul and Min Woo Hyuk, who starred alongside her, secured the No. 6 and No. 10 spots on the actor list, respectively.
The Korean drama Tale of the Nine Tailed 1938 also retained its position at No. 3 on the list of most talked-about dramas. Impressively, actor Lee Dong Wook claimed the No. 1 spot on the most popular actors list of the week. However, his co-star Kim So Yeon dropped to No. 8 on the actor list.
Furthermore, JTBC’s The Good Bad Mother maintained its position at No. 4 on the drama list. Meanwhile, its star Lee Do Hyun, also remained at No. 3 on the actor list.
New Korean Dramas of the Week
Moreover, three Korean dramas premiered during the week and entered the lists: tvN’s Delightfully Deceitful, ENA’s Battle for Happiness, and JTBC’s King the Land.
Delightfully Deceitful, tvN’s new Korean drama, entered the drama rankings at No. 5. The drama’s leads, Chun Woo Hee and Kim Dong Wook, secured their positions on the actor rankings at No. 7 and No. 9, respectively.
ENA’s new series, Battle for Happiness, debuted at No. 8 on the Korean drama list.
Finally, King the Land, a new romance drama from JTBC, completed the top 10 most buzzworthy Korean dramas for the week.
