Earlier, Korean fans protested the choreography of BITE ME, claiming it was too suggestive, by releasing a joint statement and sending a protest truck to the HYBE building. In response to the protest, ENHYPEN released a revised ending direction for their BITE ME choreography. However, rather than appeasing fans, the revision further infuriates them.
ENHYPEN Changed the Ending Choreography of BITE ME
On May 25, an online post titled ‘ENHYPEN’s Newly Corrected Ending Direction’ garnered over 78K views. The OP (original poster) uploaded screenshots comparing the ending choreography of ENHYPEN new track BITE ME before and after the protest.
The OP pointed out that the dancers now make direct eye contact with the camera instead of looking down. Consequently, Korean netizens criticized the agency and accused them of intentionally making the change as a response to the protest.
Fans Upset with M!Countdown’s Deceptive Ending Direction for ENHYPEN
Furthermore, Korean netizens are outraged by the BITE ME performance ending direction of ENHYPEN in M!Countdown. A Korean ENGENE who was present at the M!Countdown recording shared their account of what transpired during the filming.
“I was wondering why I didn’t see this. Come to think of it, during the pre-recording when fans were present, the backup dancers were left out of the ending, and they did the ending with just the seven members. Just so they could use it in the thumbnail as in the second picture. F*ck so I also ended up thinking that they changed the ending to one without the dancers. Ah, insane. Then, they said that they had to record something without the fans present, so they f*cking rushed us out of the venue after two runs. Looks like they had to record the ending again with the dancers.”

During the pre-recording with fans, ENHYPEN filmed an ending version of BITE ME without backup dancers. This version, without backup dancers in the ending, is used as the thumbnail for the YouTube video.
However, when watching the video, a different ending is shown. This version of the finale with backup dancers was also aired on M!Countdown. Consequently, fans felt betrayed by M!Countdown‘s bait-and-switch tactic.
Some fans and non-fans call the production team out for “childishly engaging in a fight with fans.” What do you think of the ongoing issue? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
