What do you do when you’re suffering from an injury? Resting and refraining yourself from overworking your injured body, of course! Unfortunately, that’s something that ENHYPEN Jay was not able to complete during his recent injury. That’s why, when ENHYPEN returns with their recent “XO” comeback, fans are furious after noticing the choreography of the song’s dance performance. And it is all with good reasons. Dive deeper into the story through the following report.
Dance Choreography of ENHYPEN “XO” Comeback Triggers Fans Anger
Kpop 4th generation artists ENHYPEN had recently made a comeback with a groovy track, “XO.” Along with this comeback, the group also released an official MV and performed in various music showcases to promote this album.
Unfortunately, after news reports about these music showcases circulated on the internet and social media, fans became furious. That is because they noticed a part of ENHYPEN “XO” dance choreography that seemed to be allegedly dangerous for one of the members, Jay.
Why?
Because ENHYPEN Jay has just recently recovered from a knee injury.
What Happened with Jay and His Knee Injury?
After some Korean news outlets posted photos of ENHYPEN “XO” comeback, fans started criticizing the dance choreography that put a lot of pressure on Jay, who just recovered from a severe knee injury.
Previously, on June 27, BELIFT LAB, the agency of ENHYPEN, released an official statement revealing that Jay had been suffering from an injury and would be sitting on a chair during the group’s concert.
“After the first day of ENHYPEN’s FATE PLUS IN JAPAN Hiroshima shows, Jay felt some knee pain and got checked out by local medics. They recommended he avoid any strenuous activities like choreography and performances.
Even though Jay is eager to participate, we’re following the medics’ advice and will limit his movement during today’s show. He won’t be part of the sound check and will perform while seated, without dancing. For Music Core in Japan, ENHYPEN will perform as six members without Jay. We hope fans understand and support him during his recovery.”

It has not been a month since this injury announcement, and ENHYPEN Jay must showcase dance choreography to the “XO” comeback, which is allegedly dangerous for his knee.
Once the photos circulated, fans immediately picked up on a moment where Jay was seen on the floor, appearing to put pressure on his knees. And they became instantly furious. After all, ENHYPEN must have worked on this dance for months, even around the release date of “XO” comeback. Not to mention, at all those times, they had to record the dance repeatedly for stage promotions.
And during these times, ENHYPEN Jay must do every bit of the choreography, even with his knee injury.
Jay mentioned he's undergone treatments for his knee, but I'm still concerned about them using their knees in the choreography. We appreciate your dedication and passion, Jay, but we also hope you'll take it easy and won’t push yourself too hard. 🥹 pic.twitter.com/GUffFnSetP
