SM Entertainment Issues New Official Statement
As a result, SM Entertainment released an official statement on June 5. According to the statement, SM will provide copies of the artists’ settlement as along as EXO CBX promises to use it for checking the details. The company asked that EXO CBX does not use the data for unfair purposes.
“After careful consideration, SM Entertainment will provide copies of settlement data on the premise that the artists and their representatives will not use them for unfair purposes other than checking its details.
We have also explained the situation to the 3 artists and other EXO members and asked for their consent to provide copies of the data.
There have been various reports regarding the 3 artists’ issues, and we’re not specifically refuting any of them,
However, we would like to explain that a unilateral notice with insufficient evidence does not result in a termination of contract.
Therefore, we will continue with the best of our abilities to negotiate with the 3 artists whom we highly value.
Additionally, we will hold legal and ethical responsibilities to the third party who give false advice to the three artists.
Finally, we will do our best to make sure that EXO’s activities, which fans had expected, will proceed without difficulties.”
