On April 26, a female biker and influencer, Jang Si Nae, featured on Channel S’ program, “Real Granny”, stated that a famous idol on the road had threatened her. During her statement, Jang Si Nae also showed short footage that matched her story. Despite the tinted windows, some comments allegedly pointed out that the idol inside the car was EXO Chanyeol.

Further in her statement, Jang Si Nae elaborated that she was riding her motorcycle to work and suddenly, a foreign car came at her quickly from behind. Even though she managed to avoid the car, the man suddenly lifted his hand and inappropriately gave her the middle finger.

Jang Si Nae became upset because of the inappropriate behavior and followed the car to get the license plate. And when he stopped at a traffic light, Jang Si Nae knocked on the window to ask why he cursed at her that way. However, the famous idol covered his face and kept flipping her off.

Rumors of the Issues and Threat Scandals Started from Netizens in the Comments

Following her statement about the issue and threat scandals, Jang Si Nae provided evidence of footage showing what really happened, but it didn’t show any sign that it was EXO Park Chanyeol.

Indeed, the footage shown in the program fully matched Jang Si Nae’s story and statement. Still, there were no apparent signs indicating that the man in the video was EXO member Park Chanyeol. In fact, it was the netizens in the comment section who started the rumored issues and threat scandals that EXO Park Chanyeol was the idol in the video.

And these comments were created merely based on the make and the model of the car as well as the hand shape.

EXO Park Chanyeol is on Military Enlistment – Was He REALLY Involved?

After the news broke out on the internet and social media, Chanyeol’s SM Entertainment agency released an official statement denying the idol’s involvement.

According to SM Entertainment, the idol who appeared on the video was not Park Chanyeol. And because of these issues and threat scandals, the company would take strong legal actions against those who had spread false statements.

“The person appeared in the relevant video is not Chanyeol. Besides, the vehicle is entirely different from the car owned by Park Chanyeol.
That is why we will take strong legal actions against this spread of false information.”
