SBS “Unanswered Questions” Faces Massive Criticism for Biased Broadcast about FIFTY FIFTY Lawsuit – Will The Group Eventually Disband?
SBS investigative program, most famous for its in-depth analysis and investigation on South Korea’s most sensitive issues, “Unanswered Questions” is currently under massive criticism.
In the recent broadcast, SBS “Unanswered Questions” delivered several facts and details discussing the ongoing lawsuit between FIFTY FIFTY and the company ATTRAKT. As viewers had been highly anticipating the program since its very first announcement, the ending result only brought massive disappointment due to a lack of coverage and selective evidence.
On August 21, Top Star News reported that Kim Dae Hyun PD, who produced Korea’s famous duo Norazo, even voiced his disappointment about SBS “Unanswered Questions”. He criticized the program’s director for delivering poor quality content about the lawsuit between “Cupid” singer FIFTY FIFTY and ATTRAKT.
“After watching SBS “Unanswered Questions”, I personally wanted to feel sorry for the FIFTY FIFTY members. However, the director reported the issue unprofessionally.
They collected lots of crucial information but didn’t reveal them on purpose. Many parts of the information did not air in the program. Why? Were you scared of the aftermath? Afraid of taking responsibility?
I believe that SBS “Unanswered Questions” forced themselves to create a ‘neutral’ situation. They have no intention of reaching a conclusion.
However, it was disappointing that they turned a clear 99:1 case and turned them into a biased report.”

Biased Report and Unnecessarily Dragging BTS for Gaining Sympathy Towards “Cupid” Singer FIFTY FIFTY
Along with the PD, viewers also expressed their massive criticism and disappointment towards SBS “Unanswered Questions” and their coverage of FIFTY FIFTY lawsuit, not only because of the biased report but also for dragging BTS to gain the public’s sympathy and attention.
“Before the success of global supergroup BTS, nobody paid attention to the countless nugu idols who disappeared without having the chance to make their name.”

The comment section in Insight’s Instagram post about “Cupid” singer FIFTY FIFTY was even full of various complaints about the program.
False Facts on SBS “Unanswered Questions” About the Lawsuit
Here are all the false facts that “Cupid” singer FIFTY FIFTY and their family members delivered on SBS “Unanswered Questions”.
ATTRAKT Staff Did NOT Throw Out the Food from FIFTY FIFTY’s Parents
Previously parents of “Cupid” singer FIFTY FIFTY claimed on SBS “Unanswered Questions” that ATTRAKT had been mistreating the group. The company did not provide enough food, and when the parents came and sent meals, ATTRAKT staff would take them out and ask the members to throw them away into the trash bin.
However, the results of Dispatch’s investigation said otherwise.
On August 21, Dispatch posted a shocking photo on their Instagram. The photo showed members of “Cupid” singer FIFTY FIFTY gathering around food that had been thrown on the floor. This is the scene that SBS “Unanswered Questions” previously mentioned in their episode. However, Dispatch revealed the lies behind the statement.
According to Dispatch, the person who threw the food was not ATTRAKT staff. In fact, it was done by an employee of The Givers, the company of the fraudulent CEO Ahn Sung Il. It is the company that the girls were trying to sign after ending their contract with ATTRAKT.
“UNANSWEWED QUESTIONS: ATTRAKT threw away the food that the parents brought for the members. ATTRAKT humiliated them by forcing the members to pick them up and personally throw them away in the trash bin.
FACTS: It was an employee of The Givers who threw away the food. FIFTY FIFTY must bow their head in humiliation.”

Dispatch also revealed that the incident happened at ATTRAKT’s Gangnam Center. The investigative media is currently digging deep into what really happened that day.
ATTRAKT CEO Jeon Hong Joon Never Missed Attending Monthly Evaluation
Further in the coverage, SBS “Unanswered Questions” stated that ATTRAKT CEO Jeon Hong Joon “father figure” was a lie. The CEO had not even once come to the group’s monthly evaluation.
However, detailed reports and investigations revealed otherwise.
Former reporter and investigative YouTuber Lee Jin Ho revealed footage of the group’s monthly evaluation. What’s surprising was that ATTRAKT CEO Jeon Hong Joon was the one recording the video.
The video appeared with the title: “21.06.29 FIFTY FIFTY Monthly Evaluation”. And at the end of the video. ATTRAKT CEO Jeon Hong Joon stated that he had never missed the monthly evaluation, not a single one. He also stated that he could prove it with data.
“I have never missed FIFTY FIFTY’s monthly evaluation. Not a single one. The data do not lie.
The monthly evaluations couldn’t happen without my presence. Even when I was late because of the traffic jam, I made sure to attend in person. That was how I witnessed the members who had improved their skills and selected the debuting personnel.”

SBS “Unanswered Questions” Omitted Lawsuit Evidence Submitted by ATTRAKT
Moreover, ATTRAKT also revealed that they had sent a large number of documents and evidence to SBS “Unanswered Questions”. However, none of them appeared in the special broadcast.
Therefore, the company would officially ask SBS “Unanswered Questions” to correct the mistakes.
“We had delivered a large number of documents of the case to Unanswered Questions. However, they didn’t use the evidence correctly in the episode.
The program didn’t even broadcast the fact that The Givers’ CEO, Ahn Sung Il, had lied about his academic background and professional experience. Instead, they broadcasted many one-sided accusations.
That is why we are planning to officially ask them to correct the episode.”
