Former EXO Huang Zitao (Tao) has formally announced that he’s in dating relationship with girlfriend Xu Yiyang. And the announcement was nothing but sweet and heart-melting!
On July 14, Chinese social media app Douyin was in a frenzy with the dating relationship announcement of former EXO Huang Zitao (Tao) and confirmed girlfriend Xu Yiyang.
Unlike those dating announcements in Kpop and Kdrama universe that are more formal and sometimes involve public apology, Huang Zitao and Xu Yiyang announced their relationship by posting couple videos that were sweet and adorable.
In the videos, each of them starts by showing a picture of the other on their phone. Then, as they lower their hands, they magically appear from behind the phone, revealing themselves together. The scene smoothly transitions to them walking through a beautiful field, arms wrapped around each other, with big smiles and loving gazes.

Who is the Lucky Lady?
While some might not recognize her, Xu Yiyang has been a familiar face, especially for EXO fans.
Previously, Xu Yiyang was once a trainee at SM Rookies from the same agency as Huang Zitao, SM Entertainment. Tao and Xu Yiyang met around 2014, when she was a trainee, whereas he had already debuted with EXO.
Indeed, many dating rumors emerged during this time, causing mixed responses from fans.
Then, after they completed their work in South Korea, they returned to China and continued their successful career in the Chinese entertainment industry.
After the news reached the Korean entertainment communities, K-Netz commented that former EXO Tao and girlfriend Xu Yiyang finally confirmed the dating relationship 10 years after the initial rumors.
