Further in the reports, both media explained that the former WINNER member hit a taxi passing by on March 8 at 3.20 AM KST. He opened the door to his car that was parked on the roadside. And at the same time, a taxi was passing by, resulting in him breaking the taxi’s side mirror.
However, although he was intoxicated at the time, former WINNER Nam Tae Hyun still drove his car for about 20 meters (around 66 ft.)
Naturally, the incident immediately called for the police’s assistance. The officials then arrived at the scene and checked Nam Tae Hyun’s blood alcohol level to find out whether or not the artist was drunk. It turned out that his blood alcohol level was around 0.114 %. And this is way higher than the license-revocation level.
Knowing that he had severely violated the Road Traffic Act, the police immediately arrested Nam Tae Hyun and booked him on the spot. However, since the singer-songwriter was too heavily intoxicated, the police decided to return him home. Therefore, all the investigations and questions will be conducted at a later time.
Still, before going home, Nam Tae Hyun claimed to the police that he was waiting for a designated driver during the incident.
As the incident is still under process, the police are planning to call Nam Tae Hyun back for further investigation.
