Finally, actor Lee Je Hoon’s dreams come true as he has been wanting to work together with Koo Kyo Hwan. Earlier, actor Lee Je Hoon delivered his wish to work with Koo Kyo Hwan at the 42nd Blue Dragon Film. He even showed his love for Koo Kyo Hwan by making a heart with his fingers, and Koo Kyo Hwan responded with a finger heart.
2. Both stars were starring in popular Korean action dramas in 2021
In 2021, Lee Je Hoon was starring in SBS’ Taxi Driver, which bagged many at SBS Drama Awards 2021. Meanwhile, Koo Kyu Hwan was starring “Escape from Mogadishu,” one of the Korean box office movies in 2021, and in D.P. (Deserter Pursuit), which was ranking on Netflix Korea’s Top 10 and popular among South Korean soldiers, which will have the second season this year.
After confirming that they will be starring together in an action movie, many kdrama fans are already curious about how the stars will show their chemistry in the film.
3. Multitalented Director, Lee Jong Pil, will direct “Escape.”
Lee Jong Pil is famous as a director, a screenwriter, and an actor. He starred in many Korean films, such as Enemy’s Apple (2007), The Man From Nowhere (2010), and Loving Poem (2018). Moreover, he also directed a few movies, such as The Sounds of a Flower (2015) and Samjin Company English Class (2020).
4. Lee He Joon x Koo Kyu Hwan in “Escape.”
“Escape” is a film that follows a North Korean soldier who dreams of a new and better life in South Korea. But, as he tries to leave the country, he meets a security officer from an intelligence agency that prevents defectors from escaping.
Actor Lee Je Hoon will be taking the role of Lim Kyu Nam, a North Korean Soldier who wants to escape to South Korea. Meanwhile, Koo Kyo Hwan will be playing Ri Hyeon Sang, who works at the North’s security department.
It sounds like the movie is like “D.P.,” but the upcoming film will focus on across country deserter.
5 “Escape” Release Date
“Escape” reportedly will start filming in the first half of 2022 after they completed casting the leading roles. There is no release date announced yet. However, the film is expected to be full of action and vibes that will reveal soon.
