The ‘Girls Planet 999’ girl group, Kep1er. successfully debuted on January 3 with ‘FIRST IMPACT.’ Kep1er consists of nine members: Choi Yu Jin, Sakamoto Mashiro, Shen Xiao Ting, Kim Chae Hyun, Kim Da Yeon, Ezaki Hikaru, Huening Bahiyyih, Seo Young Eun, and Kang Ye Seo. How Kep1er feels about their debut with ‘FIRST IMPACT’

As the 4th generation Kpop girl group, Kep1er is expected to be different and outstanding. Hikaru stated that what set Kep1er apart from other 4th gen girl groups is their “energy and performance.”

Kep1er Experienced Members

Kep1er consists of idols who are not unfamiliar with the idols’ world. Yujin, the leader, had previously debuted in CLC, and Yeseo had debuted in Busters. Yeseo stated, “Since we’d known each other since the show and gotten close, we were able to have a lot of conversations together. We worked hard to talk and communicate with each other.”

Meanwhile, Kim Chae Hyun was a trainee at SM Entertainment together with aespa members. Chae Hyun said, “The aespa sunbaenims sent me a message congratulating me and saying, ‘Soon we’ll be able to see each other in the waiting rooms at the broadcasters. They’re so busy that I haven’t been able to see them recently, but I’m excited to see them at the TV stations.”

When asked about the role model as idols, the girls agreed on Girls’ Generation as their role model. They see Tiffany and Sunmi were great examples in ‘Girls Planet 999.’

Kep1ian is the Official Fandom Name

Not long after their debut, the girls announced the official fandom name as ‘Kep1ian’ (pronounced Keplian). Kep1ian means “people who support Kep1er.”

The Official Colors

Regarding the official colors of the group, Yujin stated, “I’m a bit cautious about pinning down the identity yet, but I hope that Kep1er can become a bright group that gives people strength.”

On January 3, Kep1er announced that their official colors are lavender and white. Meanwhile, for the fandom, Kep1ian, official colors are lavender and yellow.
