Although the Kdrama has reached an impressively satisfying finale, more cast member of “Good Partner” has reportedly posted an official apology message, following the steps taken by actor Ji Seung Hyun. And yet, was this apology truly necessary? Will it become another trend for Korean actors playing similar roles in the future? Let’s delve into what truly happened in the discussion below.
More “Good Partner” Kdrama Cast Greets the Public with Apology Message
While the Korean legal drama “Good Partner,” starring Jang Na Ra and Nam Ji Hyun, has finally concluded with impressive ratings, another cast member has made an unexpected gesture of public apology.
On September 20, “Good Partner” aired its finale, showcasing more twists and turns in its already gripping storyline. Then, on the same day, one of the cast members of “Good Partner” Kdrama, actress Han Jae Yi, decided to post an official apology message.
In the message, Han Jae Yi expressed her thoughts on her role in the series. Through her agency, the actress thanked the production team and fellow cast members for the opportunity, as well as the audience for their continuous support.
“Hello, I want to sincerely thank all the viewers who have supported and loved Good Partner.
When I first took on the role of Choi Sara, it felt daunting, but with encouragement from the writer, director, and so many others, I was able to carry it through to the end.
I learned so much and truly enjoyed working alongside the incredible staff and esteemed senior actors.”

At the same time, Han Jae Yi also apologized to the audience for triggering negative emotions due to the character that she portrayed. Then, she promised to return with a new role, showcasing a different side of her acting performances.
“I apologize to anyone whose blood pressure might have spiked because of Choi Sara, but I promise to return with a new side of myself.
Therefore, I hope for your continued support. Don’t miss the final episode. Thank you.”

A Follow-Up on Ji Seung Hyun’s Gimmick
Still, do you think sending such an apology message is necessary? Initially, it all started as a joke by actor Ji Seung Hyun. Previously, actor Ji Seung Hyun posted a video message apologizing for cheating on his wife in his role in “Good Partner.”
Yet, this message was actually a part of the drama’s promotional gimmick on SBS’s official YouTube account. The actor then apologized more for all the evil deeds he had done in his previous dramas, including “My Dearest” and “Korea-Khitan War.” And he completed his apology message by reasoning that it was all because he had performed all his characters well.
“In my last apology, I know I upset many people by not directly addressing my daughter, Jae Hee. So, I want to take this moment to offer her a heartfelt apology.
I also want to apologize to Lady Gil Chae (“My Dearest”) for causing her pain. And as for the claims that I’ve betrayed Goryeo after once saving it, I realize how serious those are.
I genuinely believe all this came from my effort to stay true to my character. For that, I’m sorry.”

Apologizing for Delivering Impactful Performance – Was It Really Necessary?
And yet, actress Han Jae Yi seemed to take it seriously and followed Ji Seung Hyun’s gimmick with a real apology message as one of the villains cast of “Good Partner” Kdrama.
In the series, actress Han Jae Yi played the role of a mistress, Choi Sara, provoking strong reactions and escalating tension with every episode. Her performance went beyond the typical mistress role, leaving a lasting impact by conveying a broad range of emotions amidst a plot filled with twists and conflict. Not only that, but she vividly portrayed the inner struggles of Choi Sara and deeply resonated with viewers.
Her delicate portrayal of Sara’s turbulent life helped solidify her character, and she is expected to continue making waves in future projects.
With such an impressive performance as one of the “Good Partner” Kdrama cast, do you think the apology message was necessary? Since this is her second big break after “Mask Girl,” Han Jae Yi may be walking on thin ice, worrying that Choi Sara’s character will have a negative impact on her image.
And yet, her outstanding acting proved otherwise instead.
