59th Grand Bell Awards 2023: Nominations and Nominees
The Grand Bell Awards, also known as the Daejong International Film Awards, is a prestigious event with immense significance in the Korean film industry. It is a highly respected ceremony that honors outstanding achievements in cinema. It was established by the Ministry of Culture and Information in 1962. Since then, it has earned recognition as Korea’s equivalent of the American Academy Awards.
On October 20, a panel of preliminary judges consisting of film critics, reporters, and officials carefully selected the 59th Grand Bell Awards 2023 candidates. They then submitted their chosen candidates to the Grand Bell Awards Committee. The committee selected the nominations from Korean films and OTT content series released in Korea from October 1, 2022, to September 30, 2023.
