According to these reports, the Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors Office had examined the police’s investigation into MAMAMOO Hwasa. They reviewed the police’s investigation and decision not to forward Hwasa’s obscenity charges to the prosecution office. Formal Complaints and Police Investigations
As a result, the Students and Parents’ Human Rights Union formally reported Hwasa to the police. The union accused MAMAMOO Hwasa of an obscene performance for the one she delivered at the Sunkyunkwan University festival.
The police then summoned Hwasa in September and questioned her regarding her motives and intentions in the performances. However, since the police found no issue in the testimonies and review, they decided to drop all charges in early October.

This matter is a significant legal issue, determining whether acts of a similar sexual nature are permissible in public settings like entertainment TV shows or university festivals. Performances that focus on or suggest sexual acts in a perverse or profane manner should indeed be considered instances of public indecency.
The public was taken aback and felt demeaned by Hwasa’s conduct. It is inappropriate for her to portray herself as a victim in this situation. What is required is self-examination and moderation, rather than adopting a victim stance.”
