Can you imagine what NewJeans will become without their genius producer, Min Hee Jin (a.k.a Min Heejin)? The group’s parent company, the giant corporation HYBE, is reportedly planning to dismiss ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin at the end of this month following their previous conflict. So, what will happen to NewJeans if HYBE is really kicking out their producer, Min Hee Jin? Will the girls follow their “mother” and lose everything they have built so far? Or will they stay with HYBE and lose all their creative and innovative identity? Dive deep into the discussion in the following report.
HYBE is Kicking Out NewJeans Producer Min Hee Jin Amid Conflict and Controversy
Following the previous conflict and drama controversy, HYBE is reportedly planning to kick out the very producer behind the success of monster rookie NewJeans.
On May 9, media outlet Law Times Korea reported that HYBE would soon be holding an interim shareholder meeting at the end of this month. According to the report, the HYBE board meeting will take place on May 31, with plans on kicking out the CEO and NewJeans producer Min Hee Jin from ADOR.
Last month, HYBE requested approval from the court to hold a shareholder meeting of their subsidiary, ADOR. Reports mentioned that this meeting will cover various crucial issues. One of these issues will reportedly be the dismissal of NewJeans producer and CEO Min Hee Jin from HYBE ADOR.
Along with kicking out Min Heejin, HYBE also wanted to remove some of the existing board members of ADOR and select their very own individuals to replace them at ADOR.
Some of the industry insiders initially thought everything would go as smoothly as HYBE wanted. However, Min Hee Jin then filed an injunction, saying that the interim shareholders’ meeting only violated HYBE’s own agreement with her.
That is why the court will hold a hearing on this issue on May 17.
What Will Happen to NewJeans After Losing Their Producer?
Finally, the big question regarding this massive conflict between HYBE and Min Hee Jin is: What will happen to NewJeans after losing their producer?
If NewJeans decides to terminate their contract and leave HYBE, they will no longer be able to use their group name and sing their original songs, as all the copyright reportedly belongs to HYBE.
On the other hand, if they decide to stay with HYBE, NewJeans will lose all the creative and innovative ideas that make them extraordinary.
So, which option do you think is best for the girls? Please share your thoughts in the comments.
