Further, Kpop makeup artists and hairstylists are one of their dream jobs. They especially have a chance to be close to many actors and Kpop idols. Lee Shinae & Go Seoyoon, who have been 20th years in the field, shared five interesting facts on the AYO YouTube channel.

1. It’s not easy to feel fluttered with actors and Kpop idols.

As a makeup artist, Shinae said that it’s rare to happen that staff gets fluttered to the artists. Although it happened to her once in 20 years, it’s rare. Meanwhile, Seoyoon conveyed it in a funny fact that it’s hard for a hairstylist to fall as they only see the hair.

2. Some idols don’t know what they want.

Regarding makeup and hairstyles, some Kpop idols don’t know what they want. So, it might take hours to figure out what they want. IU is one of the idols who knows what she wants, and she is one of the idols who can talk and laugh with them.

3. The company decides Kpop idols’ hairstyles.

As one of professional Kpop hair stylists, Seoyoon said that it would be chaos if she cut the artist’s hair without permission by the company. Worst of all, he could get sue if she did that.

On the other hand, as the company confirms, she must cut the artist’s hair even if she thinks that she doesn’t like the chosen hairstyles. Some Kpop fans might be triggered with their idols’ ugly hairstyles, Seoyoon said that she is only doing what she asked for.

4. KPop makeup artists can’t make you look Kpop idols’ look the same.

Shinae explained that they could do the same styling with a similar vibe, but they can’t make you the same person. Seoyoon added it’s not her responsibility because people have a different face.

5. Being makeup artists for idols needs hardship, and your fantasy will be crushed.

To fall in love with male actors and singers, Shinae said it’s never happened to her. She added, even if you become a staff, your fantasy will be crushed.

Seoyoon added that when the idols release a new album, staff only sleep 2-3 hours a day and only can wash their faces and go to work. Even celebs are sleeping with their mouths open while she is working on their makeup. Well, Kpop idols are human as well, right?

In the end, Seoyoon said that many people able to copy Kpop idols hairstyles as it’s easy to be applied although it’s hard at first.

Moreover, Shinae conveyed that she has makeups inspiration from the juniors, so she hopes that people with aesthetic sense would join them become makeup artists and hairstylists.
