It is always exciting to have a crossover between Kpop and the gaming industry. After the previous performance of aespa in the “League of Legends: Wild Rift” competition and TWICE’s alleged partnership with Genshin Impact, now we have an OFFICIAL collaboration between 4^th gen Kpop girl group ITZY and one of the world’s largest game franchises, Pokémon.

On January 27, the official Facebook account of Pokémon Philippines announced an official collaboration between ITZY and the franchise. This collaboration is for the opening event of their newly-released “Pokémon Legends: Archeus” on Nintendo Switch.

What is “Pokémon Legends: Archeus”?

So, you may be wondering what the collaboration is about. The ITZY x Pokémon official collaboration is an opening event for the franchise’s newly released game.

On January 28, Pokémon released an action RPG game called “Pokémon Legends: Archeus” for Nintendo Switch. It is a combination of action and RPG games where players will explore their new Hisui region. Also, players will be able to enjoy a different type of strategy battle, including catching a Pokémon while experiencing the full action within the area. Indeed, the game is just as exciting for returning and new Pokémon players.

When Will ITZY x Pokémon Collaboration Event Happen?

Finally, according to the announcement, the official collab between ITZY and Pokémon will start after the game’s release.

Hence, starting from February 9, Pokémon will start their collab with ITZY by releasing a new commercial video. In addition, they will also add various TikTok video challenges.
