On December 24th, EDAM Entertainment announced, “IU donated 100 million won (about $84,280) each to cancer patients and children and youth from low-income families to celebrate the end of the year.”

The donation will be delivered to help patients with cancer and children and adolescents from low-income families.

The donation will go towards winter expenses for low-income families’ needs, such as heater and warm clothes. Part of the donation will also support the education of children and youth who are being raised by single-parent and grandparents.

The donation will also help Seoul ASAN Hospital with the medical and surgery expenses of women and children with cancer.

IU conveyed her warm messages, “this is a difficult and exhausting time for everyone, but I want to share warm feelings with those who need it, albeit a little.” She continued, “I hope that everyone can have a warm winter without a single neighbor being left out.”

IU to Release “Pieces” this December 29th

The Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo actress, IU, is the best girl indeed. Currently, she is preparing for a year-end comeback after sweeping this year’s music charts and reaching Perfect All Kill (PAK) in 2021 with her three songs.

On December 21st, IU posted an artwork teaser image on her official social media account to announce that she will drop a new song only a couple of days before 2021 ends.

The teaser image illustrates IU’s past albums stacked with letters in between and a clock on top. In addition, it says the new song “Pieces” will be released on December 29th, 2021, at 18.00 (KST).
