On May 30, IU arrived safe and sound at the Incheon International Airport after attending the 75th Cannes Film Festival for the world premiere of ‘Broker.’ Upon her arrival, IU became a snack fairy by handing out snacks and candies she bought.
IU is Back from Cannes with a Handful of Sweet Things
The Snack Fairy is Back!
The idol actress was spotted wearing comfortable and stylish black overalls paired with black and white long sleeves. As soon as the photo sessions were done, IU approached her fans and handed out chocolates and snacks from Cannes.
In a post, one of UAENA wrote, “kka-kka fairy (snack fairy) today as well. She bought chocolates T_T Her love for her fans is the best…Thank you.“
Previously, IU made the headlines in 2017 when one fan revealed that she would give snacks to fans that came to greet her at the airport. Then, IU would say, “Share these with each other.”
Not only once, IU, being the snack fairy again, surprised Indonesian UAENA at the airport in 2020. It was during her first concert in Jakarta, Indonesia.
IU is chosen as Gucci Global Ambassador
It is known that IU has been the Gucci Korea ambassador since 2020. And, it seems that IU will join actress Shin Min Ah to be Gucci Global Ambassador.
On May 29, the Italian luxury fashion house updated its official Instagram with IU’s red carpet picture at the 75th Cannes Film Festival.
“Global Brand Ambassador IU was captured at the 75th Annual Cannes Film Festival wearing a Gucci gown with lace rebrodé petal details on the cuffs, as well as sequin flowers and crystal embellishments on the skirt.”

However, a representative from Gucci commented, “We can’t disclose when exactly IU became our global brand ambassador due to competition with another brand.”
