To celebrate her birthday, the kindhearted KPop singer did not forget to make some donations to express her gratitude.
Born in Seoul with a name Lee Ji Eun, IU has started her career since she was 14 years old. She signed her first contract as a trainee and had her first debut with LEON Entertainment (now Kakao M) in 2007. Her stage name, IU, was given by her agency. It is from the phrase “I and You.” Her fandom is called UAENA, which means You love me.

IUAENA Generous Donations
She is known as one of the KPop idols who are generous. Her mother’s kind heart inspired her to help others in need. Since her debut, IU has made donations for more than 1.5 billion KRW. Some of the causes that she helped like Sewol tragedy (250 million KRW), elderly citizen (15 million KRW), disadvantaged children (600 KRW), Sokro Fire (100 million won), and the latest is Covid-19 (260 KRW).
