After 4 years of long hiatus from acting due to military enlistment, the famous original idol actor, Jang Geun Suk will soon be making his comeback in a new Korean crime drama.
On June 21, Korean media reported that Jang Geun Suk had received an offer to play in the new Korean crime drama, “Chronicles of Crime”.
A New Korean Drama by “Money Heist: Korea” Director Kim Hong Sun
According to the report, “Chronicles of Crime” is a new Korean drama centered on different crimes and delinquencies. Interestingly, this new drama is a project by Director Kim Hong Sun, who has produced several masterpieces, especially in the crime and action genres.
Previous projects by Director Kim Hong Sun include “Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Korea”, “L.U.C.A.: The Beginning”, “Voice”, “Liar Game”, and “Warrior Baek Dong Soo”.
Therefore, can you imagine how exciting it will be? Famous idol actor Jang Geun Suk will be making his first acting comeback in 4 years under such an outstanding director.
What is “Chronicles of Crime” About?
Unfortunately, since “Chronicles of Crime” is still under preparation, nothing much has been revealed about the Coupang Play drama just yet.
What we know so far is that “Chronicles of Crime” is a narrative fiction revolving around various crimes. It is a new Korean crime drama that centers around the different kinds of crimes and misdemeanors, and Jang Geun Suk will be playing as the main character.

A prosecutor or lawyer with characteristics as cold as Hwang Tae Kyung in “You’re Beautiful” and Kang Moo Kyul in “Marry Me, Marry”? Or will he once again show his remarkable duality like what he performed in “Switch: Change the World” 4 years ago?
