The School Bullying Scandal of “Money Heist” and “Wedding Impossible” Actress Jeon Jong Seo
Aside from its impressive K-content and culture, South Korea is also a country famous for its school bullying cases. Before the COVID-19 pandemic, annual bullying cases were about 30,000, which dropped to 8,357 in 2020 due to social distancing and virtual classes. However, with the resumption of in-person classes in 2021, cases surged to 15,652.
The severity of each case and the prolonged trauma that the victim had experienced have made school bullying a delicate issue in the country. And it escalated after the rising awareness through “The Glory” Korean drama
Therefore, when the school bullying cases happened to former LE SSERAFIM Kim Garam, Kim Hieora, and “Marry My Husband” actress Song Ha Yoon, the public responded strongly with backlash and criticism against the perpetrators.
Today, it is the turn of actress Jeon Jong Seo of “Money Heist” and “Wedding Impossible” to face school bullying accusations.
On April 4, Korean media outlet Xports News reported a post exposing past bullying scandal of actress J. This post emerged in through an anonymous bulletin board and immediately went viral in various online communities and social media.
Immediately after the post went viral, media revealed that actress J was, in fact, actress Jeon Jong Seo of “Money Heist” and “Wedding Impossible.”
What Happened?
According to the community post, the alleged victim went to the same middle school as Jeon Jong Seo.
“Recently, I kept watching ads featuring Jeon Jong Seo and it really upset me. That’s why I began searching for her name and that’s when I found out that all her past school bullying accusations had disappeared without a trace.
Not only that but my own post, the one that I wrote in the past, was also gone. It was really shocking.
I attended the same middle school as Jeon Jong Seo. Some people believed that she graduated from overseas’ secondary school so they thought the bullying scandal was just rumors. But no. She actually attended middle school in Yeongdeungpo. It was until the second year before she then moved overseas.
At the time, Jeon Jong Seo often stole other kids’ uniforms and P.E clothes. At the time, I refused to give her mine and she would curse me every moment she saw me at school.
I was afraid so I ran away and hid in the restroom. But she would chase after me and kick the door. I just stayed there and waited. After it got quiet, then I would just leave the restroom.
There have been numerous accusations and posts emerging in the past with stories like mine. But her agency would take them down at light speed. Don’t you think that it’s suspicious? It’s clear that they did it because they had something to hide.
Until now, I would freeze immediately every time I see her face. That’s why I mustered my courage to speak up.”

Expressing gratitude towards her supporters, the agency clarified that after investigating the accusations, all the accusations were proven false.
Furthermore, ANDMARQ announced plans for legal action against individuals spreading these rumors, stating that the false claims have caused significant distress to Jeon Jong Seo and her close ones. The agency is committed to protecting the actress from malicious comments and misinformation through legal means.
More Accusations Against the Actress
Following the agency’s official statement, more accusations emerged from a different person regarding this “Wedding Impossible” actress. The post emerged as one of the comments under Jeon Jong Seo’s school bullying accusation above.
“I felt really upset after reading all these comments. It was as if the person was spreading rumors and ruining someone’s life and career.
But now, I decided to brave myself to reveal this: I was also one of the school violence victims.
Even until today when I go to Yeongdeungpo, I still cannot get myself visiting the X middle school after everything I had been through back then.
People say that I will lose everything if I’m ruining someone’s life. You know what? I had already lost my school days, so what else could I lose?
I was just afraid that if this gets buried, I will turn into a person who support false information.
Therefore, if you also attended X middle school, please step up and testify with me.”
