Kpop Soloist JINI Did Not Appear on Music Shows for Solo Album Debut Promotion

JINI debuted with “An Iron Hand in A Velvet Glove” solo EP album with the title track “C’mon (ft. Aminé)”. She also showcased her skills in writing the lyrics for “Bad Reputation,” and these two songs received positive responses from fans.

From her earlier time as an aspiring trainee of JYP Entertainment and member of NMIXX, JINI has been incredibly famous for being one of the most promising Kpop all-rounder artists. She has the perfect visuals for a Kpop idol, beautiful vocals, impressive dancing skills, and outstanding stage presence, resulting in her skyrocketing reputation among rookie idols.

Therefore, when JINI announced her departure from NMIXX, fans were incredibly shocked and disappointed. But when she joined a new agency and revealed her solo debut, JINI began receiving mixed reactions. Some deemed her ambition as greedy and ungrateful. But at the same time, fans also understood that JINI could never improve herselfand her career in NMIXX. Her presence and talents were too much that the Kpop group would possibly hold her back.

Considering her rising popularity, fans had been expecting a large-scale promotion when JINI eventually released her solo album, including appearances on music shows. However, JINI only conducted a humble debut showcase and fan sign events.

This raised curiosity and speculations from the public: has JYP Entertainment banned JINI from appearing in music shows?

Unveiling the Truth: Was Kpop Soloist JINI Banned from Music Shows by JYP Entertainment?

Due to her mysterious leave from NMIXX, fans have been speculating about her reasons. However, none of these speculations have proved true, as both JINI and JYP Entertainment decided to keep it a secret to respect their decisions.

Even when a reporter asked JINI during her debut showcase about her cause for leaving NMIXX, JINI simply stated that it was due to personal reasons. And this is the same response that JYP Entertainment previously stated.

“It’s hard to get into details because it’s personal, but just know I’m all in and ready to work diligently for my solo debut.”

Now that JINI’s solo album has been released and she hasn’t made any appearances on music shows, the public began wondering whether there has been bad blood between JINI and JYP Entertainment that resulted in her being banned from these shows.

After all, it is not entirely a new occasion for idols who left their group to receive such treatment from their former agency. The most famous case was JYJ and soloist Ailee.

Possible Reasons for JINI Music Shows Absence

However, there are many possible reasons why JINI was absent from music show appearances.

The first reason was that even when she was relatively new in the music industry. She was famous as a trainee, but as an artist, JINI was simply a rookie. Therefore, she has not earned enough points to secure the chance to appear on music shows.

Secondly, despite the recency of her debut with NMIXX, JINI has been surrounded by a measure of controversy. JINI’s sudden leave from NMIXX was still a mystery until today. The unclear reasons created controversial speculations, including contract breaches, dating scandals, and alleged misconduct. All these controversial public speculations created more reasons why music shows would choose to showcase other artists than JINI.

Lastly, JINI solo album debut coincided with many recent comebacks and debut of idols from bigger companies. Therefore, it’s highly likely that music shows chose the comebacks of these big names over a new rookie like JINI.

Indeed, there has always been a slight possibility of JYP having banned JINI from music shows after she left. However, it is not always definite there have also been numerous reasons why JINI was less favored by the PDs of these music shows.

But at the end of the day, JINI will soon showcase a debut performance with Arirang TV. She will appear on arirang TV Simply K-Pop on October 16, 2023. Therefore, let us give her our immense support for JINI and her promising future.
