On May 16, edaily exclusively reported that Jo Bo Ah will headline a new drama titled “Knock Off.” Following the news, Jo Bo Ah’s agency XYZ Studio stated,
“Jo Bo Ah received a proposal to star in ‘Knock Off’ and is currently evaluating the proposal.”

The upcoming drama “Knock Off’ is a captivating black comedy drama that offers a mix of laughter and mystery. Set in the early 2000s, during the period of the foreign exchange crisis, also known as the IMF crisis, which occurred in 1997, the story explores the fake market with fake luxury items.
Cast and Characters
Prior to the casting news of Jo Bo Ah, actor Kim Soo Hyun was positively reviewing his appearance in the upcoming drama. In the forthcoming drama, the actor will become the first person in the “fake market.” Additionally, Kim Si Eun and Yoo Jae Myung were also in talks for potential roles in the series.
According to the report, the actress will portray Kim Soo Hyun’s first love, who works as a customs officer. The actress is expected to bring a diverse perspective to the upcoming drama. She will display both her innocent side, as seen in previous works, and her unique strength. “Knock Off” is the next project from the talented creators behind Netflix’s “Song of the Bandits” (2023), director Park Hyun Suk and writer Han Jung Hoon.
Besides “Song of the Bandits,” director Park Hyun Suk’s notable works include “Uncontrollably Fond” and “Stranger Season 2.” Meanwhile, writer Han Jung Hoon’s famous works are “38 Task Force” and “Bad Guys.”
SLL and Arc Media, which have produced several box office hits, will be in charge of the production.
