The Beautiful Artist Awards, an annual event since 2011, is organized by the Shin Young Kyun Arts & Culture Foundation, spearheaded by actor Ahn Sung Ki. This prestigious ceremony recognizes outstanding artists in film, theater, merit, philanthropy, and independent film. A generous prize fund of 100 million KRW (approximately $85,000) is split equally, with each category receiving 20 million KRW (approximately $17,000).
The 13th Beautiful Artist Awards ceremony took place on October 24 at Stage28 in Godeok-dong, Seoul. At a heartwarming ceremony this year, the committee recognized the five Korean celebrities for their exceptional contributions and unwavering motivation.
The winners of the Beautiful Artist Awards included Lee Jeong Jae, who received the Film Artist Award. Lee Soon Jae received the Theater Artist Award. Director Im Kwon Taek received the Merit Artist Award. Kim Seo Hyung was awarded the Independent Film Artist Award. And finally, Korean actor Jo In Sung took home the Good People Artist Award.

Jo In Sung, the 42-year-old Korean actor, received the Good People Artist Award. He received this recognition for his impactful philanthropy and generous contributions to society.
Despite his busy schedule, he’s been helping pediatric patients at Seoul Asan Hospital for 12 years. He covers the treatment costs for rare pediatric diseases and supports school construction in impoverished areas of Tanzania, Africa.
Furthermore, during the initial screening of “Smuggler” this summer, Jo In Sung extended a heartfelt invitation. He invited 30 teenagers with rare diseases and physical disabilities, along with their families and social workers, from a Gangdong-gu childcare facility. This gesture added a profound sense of warmth to the event.

“I’ve learned that poison can transform into medicine if used wisely.
