Participant of Kpop Show JTBC PEAK TIME Faces School Bullying Accusations
PEAK Time Kpop show by JTBC has been gaining massive popularity for giving underrated Kpop idols a second chance to shine in the harsh world of the Korean entertainment industry. Not only that, but the show also features star-studded host and judges, including Lee Sung Gi, SNSD Tiffany, Super Junior Kyuhyun, and MAMAMOO Moonbyul.
But despite its dazzling reputation, apparently, there is a suspected scandal involving one of the show’s participants.
Xports News reported on March 6 that a JTBC Peak Time Kpop show contestant had been embroiled in a school bullying scandal.
A school bullying allegation post emerged on the same day against a JTBC Peak Time Kpop show contestant on a Korean online community. Someone (A) who claimed to be the participant’s elementary and middle school classmate posted the allegation, and stated they still cannot forget the horrible memories during their school time.
“From the first day I transferred to the day I graduated from middle school, it was a painful experience to remember, even if I don’t want to.
I may have grown up as an adult, but so many memories haunting me as if I’m digging through my head.”

What REALLY Happened?
The post further described what happened to the JTBC Peak Time Kpop show participant and alleged victim A.
According to A, JTBC Peak Time participant B always started their school days by mocking them, calling them smells like xxx and dirty. As a result, participant B constantly lowered A’s self-esteem to the point that A repeatedly thought of killing themselves.
“The first to the third year of middle school was when I thought about ending my life countless times.
Our house might not be the best as the water was often cold. It wasn’t until the second half of the year (8th grade) that we had hot water. Since I was still young and immature then, I admit there were days I had to go to school without washing up for two days, or sometimes I did it only once a week. However, I tried to stay clean.
I’m telling you this because it was the core reason for the mockery: I was dirty, and I smelled.”

The alleged victim further claimed that every time they encountered each other, participant B started their days by saying, “It smells like **** because **** is here,” referring to alleged victim A.
Due to this situation, A had no choice but to adapt to participant B’s pranks. There was even a time when A injured their finger. But as their finger swelled, bled, and rattled, participant B did not even apologize.
“When I got home, my dangling fingernail fell off, and I felt like I had lost the very last piece of my self-esteem.”

Gaslighting and Threats, But No Response from the School
What’s worse, participant B had been gaslighting A for years. Participant B brainwashed A and threatened to kill them. And due to these threats and their gloomy personality, the threats made them try to end their lives several times.
“If you don’t like it, attack me. Let’s fight, and I’ll punch you in the face and kill you instead.”

And when A tried to report the incident as a school violence case, it was only futile.
“Because I lived on an island, the countryside nature allowed the parents to know each other. That is why the case was over just like that. They concluded it as issue between children.
I wanted to give them one last chance, but seeing them active again after they became less active as a group made me vomit in fear. So I decided to write this.”

Along with the post, A also attached their middle school yearbook photo while asking for help from the public.
“It might take time, but if you want, I also have a picture of us together from elementary school days. Please, please help me so participant B can get the consequences they deserve.”
