Jun Ji Hyun and Ji Chang Wook In Talks for New Drama “Human X Gumiho”
On March 28, OSEN exclusively reported that Jun Ji Hyun and Ji Chang Wook were offered to lead a new Korean drama, “Human X Gumiho.” Currently, both actors reportedly reviewing the offer.
About “Human X Gumiho”
The upcoming fantasy drama is the latest work of writer Im Me Ah Ri. She previously served as the assistant to Kim Eun Sook, a renowned writer known for scripting popular dramas like “Descendants of the Sun,” “Goblin,” “The Glory,” and more.
Writer Im Me Ah Ri debuted in 2018 with JBTC’s rom-com drama “The Beauty Inside,” which was instantly loved by Kdrama enthusiasts. She gained further recognition with her second rom-com fantasy drama, “Doom at Your Service,” which aired on tvN in 2021.
Moreover, HighZium Studio and Content Planner will co-produce the drama series. The HighZium Studio’s hit works include “Hellbound 2” and “Doctor Slump.”
As of now, there is no further information about the drama and its broadcast schedule.
Jun Ji Hyun and Ji Chang Wook’s Second Potential Collab
If Jun JiHyun accepts the offer to star in “Human x Gumiho,” it will be the next project after her film “Colony.” This star-studded film is the latest work of director Yeon Sang Ho, known for “Train to Busan” and “Peninsula.”
Excitingly, it would mark her second collaboration with Ji ChangWook, who is also starring in the upcoming film “Colony.” Additionally, it will be her next drama series after the release of her new drama “Tempest,” which is expected to air later this year.
Moreover, if Ji ChangWook accepts the offer, the upcoming drama will be his third new project. His upcoming drama,“The Manipulated,” is set for a 2025 release, while “Scandal“ is scheduled for 2026.
