Kpop fans, you may be wondering right now: what is JYJ doing now? After conquering their numerous trials and obstacles following their leaving TVXQ, JYJ once again proved that they did not disband and left the fans hanging carelessly. In fact, even after Yoochun left the group due to his huge scandal, JYJ members Jaejoong and Junsu proved that they still stand firm as a duo with their comeback for the upcoming Japanese drama OST.
So, what is it about? Check out the following details.
“What is JYJ Doing Now – Did the Members Disband?”: The Question that Kpop Fans Always Have in Mind
In the world of Kpop, some strict unwritten rules and restrictions solemnly prevent many Kpop idols from expressing themselves freely. That is why many Kpop idols suffer from pressure and depression that sometimes lead to suicide. Why? Because once you fight against those rules, the repercussions are too severe.
That’s what happened to JYJ back then in 2010. After a long and painful battle with SM Entertainment company for the slave contract controversies, JYJ left TVXQ only to find themselves being silently banned and blacklisted in the South Korean entertainment industry. And once they started rising again, Yoochun got caught in a scandal, which led him to leave the group altogether.
However, JYJ remains strong and solid. Both Jaejoong and Junsu remain active in the entertainment industry, mostly with their solo activities. XIA Junsu recently opened his own PALMTREE ISLAND agency and joined Weverse to further support his career as a musical actor and the King of OST. At the same time, Jaejoong is returning to the small screen in “Bad Memory Eraser” Korean drama with Jin Se Yeon.
Therefore, if you’re wondering what JYJ is doing now and whether the group disband, the answer is no. In fact, JYJ members Jaejoong and Junsu recently made their comeback as a duo for an upcoming Japanese drama OST.

In addition to their comeback as a duo with the Japanese drama OST, JYJ also proved that they’re staying strong as a duo by coming back on stage!
On March 30, JYJ members Jaejoong and Junsu performed “Sixth Magnitude Star” for the first time for “Premium Music 2022”, a Japanese music program. And according to Junsu, it was such an incredible performance since it was the first time they had performed together after a while.
“‘Sixth Magnitude Star’ is a ballad song. The song’s title refers to the darkest stars humans can see with the naked eye.
It feels like a really long time since we released a new song in Japan and for it to be the theme song for a popular drama at that. I also feel greatly excited, and I’m very happy that I got to sing a song together with Jaejoong for the first time in a while.
I remember the two of us having a very enjoyable and fun time working together, so I hope many people will listen to it happily. ‘Sixth Magnitude Star’ is a really good song.”
