Korean drama “S Line” becomes the only K-content in the official series selection for long-form competition at the 8th Cannes Series Festival (Canneseries) in 2025. Its stars, Lee Soo Hyuk and Oh My Girl’s Arin, have been officially invited to this prestigious event.
Korean Drama “S Line” Enters the 8th Cannes International Series Festival Competition

The Cannes International Series Festival is a prestigious event honoring outstanding originality in TV shows. This year, the Canneseries will have its eighth edition from April 24 to 29, 2025, in Cannes, France.
Further, it will screen 28 world premieres, 8 international premieres, 3 French premieres, and 1 European premiere.
One Korean drama, “S Line,” will compete at the 2025 Cannes International Series Festival. In addition, the 2025 Canneseries will screen four other Korean dramas: “Nursery Rhyme Horror Story,” “Fasting Love,” “Hunter With A Scalpel,” and “Doubt.“ The screenings will only be available in Korean and subtitled in French.
“S Line” at Canneseries Competition
One of eight series selected for the competition section at the Canneseries this year is the new mystery Korean drama “S Line” (“에스라인“). The K-drama, which explores themes of sexual relationships, is the only Korean series among the eight candidates invited in this category. This marks the return of the Korean series in the 2025 Cannes Series Festival competition. Previously, the Korean drama series “Bargain” won Best Screenplay in 2023.

Director Ahn Joo Young directed the fantasy thriller series. She also co-wrote the screenplay with other writers, Hwang Hogil and Kim Joo Hyun. The well-known production company SIDUS Pictures produced the series.
According to reports, “S Line” stars Lee Soo Hyuk and Arin from Oh My Girl will attend the red carpet at the Cannes International Series Festival in 2025.

“S Line” is the live adaptation of a webtoon of the same name by Kkomabi (Little Bee). It is the second work in the death trilogy after “Murder DIEary.”The first series, “Murder DIEary,” got its live adaptation with the title “A Killer Paradox,” which became Netflix’s hit series in 2024. Currently, the “S Line” webtoon is unavailable in English.
The thriller fantasy revolves around the mysterious red line over people’s heads. The red line is for the social secret sex line (S Line) that connects individuals who have had intimate relationships, regardless of time and place, and one’s private information revealed overnight. The red line is only visible to the eyes with special glasses; no one can touch it.
The live adaptation of “S Line” features an impressive cast lineup: Lee Soo Hyuk, Lee Da Hee, and Oh My Girl’s Arin.
Lee Soo Kyuk portrays detective Han Ji Wook, a compelling and free spirit character, on a mission to reveal the truth about the S Line.
Lee Da Hee takes the role of Gyu Jin, a high school teacher with a quirky personality.
Arin plays Hyun Heup, a high school student who has been able to see the lines since birth.
The webtoon-based K-drama “S Line” will premiere at the Cannes Series before its release in Korea later this year. However, there is no further information regarding the broadcast platform for the six-episode series.
