New Disney+ Original Series “Tempest”
On May 29, Disney+ officially announced their new original Korean drama series “Tempest,” previously known as “Polaris,” starring Kang Dong Won and Jun Ji Hyun, will premiere in 2025.
Storyline
The upcoming Disney+ original series “Tempest” follows the story of Moon Ju and San Ho, who are working together to find the hidden truth behind a big case. Moon Ju is a diplomat and a former ambassador to the United States, while San Ho is a mysterious special agent.

Oh Jung Se as Agent
Actor Oh Jung Se from “Revenant” has confirmed his participation in the series alongside Kang Dong Won and Jun Ji Hyun. Currently, there is no information about the actor’s character name in the upcoming drama. However, according to Dispatch, he will take the role of an agent.
Production
Director Kim Hee Won and screenwriter Jung Seo Kyung are teaming up once again for the upcoming series. Both female creators are known for their strong records in the industry. Their initial collaboration resulted in the successful Korean drama “Little Women.”
Additionally, Director Kim Hee Won is known for popular works such as “Vincenzo,” “Crash Landing on You,” and “Queen of Tears,” while screenwriter Jung Seo Kyung is recognized for famous works like “The Handmaiden,” “Mother,” and “Decision to Leave.”
Furthermore, Kang DongWon is also participating in the upcoming project as a producer. This forthcoming drama will also mark his return to TV series after 20 years, following his last appearance in the Korean drama “Magic” in 2004.
Moreover, the upcoming drama will be a reunion between Jun JiHyun and Oh Jung Se following their drama “Jirisan”in 2021.
