“Pirates 2” Star Kang Ha Neul In Talks to Lead New Webtoon-Based Drama “Death’s Game”
SLL will produce a new drama based on a webtoon series titled “Death’s Game” by Lee Wonsik and Ggulcha. The director of “18 Again,” Ha Byung-Hoon, will direct the drama series. According to Korean media outlets, actor Kang Ha-Neul has received an offer to star in the upcoming drama series.
In response to the reports, Kang Ha Neul’s agency TH Company stated that the actor is still reviewing the offer to star in the forthcoming webtoon based on the drama “Death’s Game” (working title).
In the forthcoming webtoon based on drama, the actor will play the lead role of Choi Yi-Jae. However, there is no other information regarding the premiere date and other actors who may collaborate with the actor.
Death’s Game Webtoon Synopsis
The webtoon series “Death’s Game” is a seven episodes series released on Naver Webtoon between 2019 and 2020. The story follows a young man named Choi Yi-Jae, an unemployed who believes he has no future. So he decides to take his own life by jumping out of a building roof.
Before committing suicide, he writes in a letter, “Death is nothing but an insignificant way to help end my pain.” However, due to his reckless attitude towards dying, “Death” comes to him to punish him through a game.
The game will give him 13 chances to live another life. Yet, the game will also give him another experience of death. However, he continues to live out these lives’ entire lifetimes if he can figure out a way to avoid the impending death that these lives face. Will Death win over Choi Yi-Jae, or will he be able to live out his new life?

The actor is currently starring in a drama titled “Insider.” After the drama ends, he will be joining Go Doo Shim and Ha Ji Won in the drama “Curtain Call.”
