HUGE Issue: Kpop Festival KAMP Los Angeles (LA) 2022 Lost Half of Its Lineup Performers
On October 16, Korean media reported that one of the largest Kpop festival in US, KAMP LA 2022, had ended with a huge issue.
In the middle of fans’ high anticipation and excitement, KAMP Los Angeles (LA) 2022 Kpop concert had lost half of its lineup performers. Seven performers, including SNSD Taeyeon, EXO Kai, GOT7 BamBam, Jeon Somi, Zion.T, Lapillus, and MONSTA X were unable to perform at the concert as scheduled.
Therefore, out of 14 performers, KAMP LA 2022 delivered only 7 performers during the 2-day concert. As a result, many fans canceled their attendance, skipping the concert altogether. And it happened because of a terrible lack of management and professionalism.
What’s Behind the HUGE Lineup Cancelation Issue?
On October 14, several Kpop artists scheduled to perform at the 2022 KAMP Los Angeles (LA) reported difficulties regarding their flight to the US. GOT BamBam, Jeon Somi, Super Junior, EXO Kai, SNSD Taeyeon, and LAPILLUS shared on social media about issues regarding their visa. That is why they had to wait longer for their flights.
While Super Junior managed to pass through the issue, it didn’t happen to the other Kpop artists.
The next day, KAMP LA 2022 released an official statement that BamBam, Somi, Kai, LAPILLUS, Taeyeon, and Zion.T had to cancel their performance due to visa issues.

We know many Monbebe is looking forward to seeing #MONSTAX on KAMP LA 2022. However, it seems that there were visa concerns relating different artists which includes Monsta X. Due to this circumstances, MC won't be able to attend the show.@OfficialMonstaX https://t.co/0IEpk4eIWG pic.twitter.com/mBZ2UJvIDl
So, what really happened?
While no clear explanation came from the Kpop festival regarding this visa issue, fans speculated that the KAMP LA 2022 event organizer was at fault. That is because all the preparation for the concert and lineup artists falls into the event organizer’s responsibility.
Therefore, fans demanded clear reasons for how such mismanagement and unprofessionalism could happen to one of the biggest Kpop events in the US.

The real crisis is the crisis of incompetence. All those fans buying tickets, hotels so that now they come out with a surprise for the fans who wait for their idols to perform, due to poor organization or who is to blame, many will be angry https://t.co/Eh8YoChqjx

While this arrest brought a huge question to the public, some fans who witnessed the arrest stated that the person in question had a large camera on her. The concert highly prohibited bringing large camera to the location so the officials had to take action. However, the person refused to cooperate, so the officials had to drag her out.
Fans suspected the person in question was from a fansite or a possible sasaeng.
