Jang Dong Yoon as Lee Doo Hak

Lee Do Hak is a young man with a genuine personality. Despite his economic condition, he has a brighter mind and soul than others. Do-hak falls in love at first sight with Oh Jung Shin, a new student who has recently transferred from Seoul. After being involved in an unfortunate incident, he becomes a passionate young man who faces every hardship of his stormy life.

Seol In Ah as Oh Jung Shin

Oh Jung Shin is a trustworthy and self-assured young girl. She dares to stand up for what is right and pursue her goals. After moving from Seoul, she establishes a strong friendship with Lee Doo Hak and Choi Cheol Woong. Meanwhile, her appearance has captured the hearts of both young men, especially Lee Doo Hak.

Choo Young Woo as Choi Cheol Woong

Choi Cheol Woong is a childhood friend of Lee Doo Hak. He is a top student in his entire school and never fails to take first place. However, he has a personality that he cannot accept when he loses. Although he has everything, he cannot capture any girl’s heart. Moreover, he is the type of person who is easily shaken by strong winds.

Storyline

Oasis is set during turbulent times in Korea during the ’80s and ’90s. It shows the bitter life, revenge, and conflict of a young man who must do whatever it takes to gain power and wealth in an era filled with false social values.

Lee Doo Hak is a young man born in a small town in Jeolla Province and grew up with an innocent and bright heart. However, he is drawn into the whirlpool of events by fate and is caught up in the whirl of conflict. After working in a real estate fraud group, he became a “political gangster” and spent his life avenging his father’s unjust death.

Save the date! The Korean drama Oasis is scheduled to premiere on March 6, 2023, and air every Monday and Tuesday on KBS2 TV.

In the drama series’ teaser, released on January 31, the viewers brought to Lee Doo Hak, Choi Cheol Woong, and Oh Jung Shin’s high-school period when they first met.

Lee Doo Hak and Choi Cheol Woong received discipline due to their mischievousness. At a school event, they met the new student, Oh Jung Shin, for the first time. Lee Doo Hak, who couldn’t take his eyes off her, from her crazy wink and surprise kiss, awakened the excitement of pure and fresh first love.

The scene was filled with purity and joy, but in an instant dark shadows fell on the faces of the three youth. They struggle with social change and expectations that threaten to undermine the foundations of their friendship.

Narrated by Lee Doo Hak: “If I hadn’t met you then, would my fate have been different?”. Expectations are high regarding how the story of three youth intertwined in an inevitable era and love will unfold.
