Kim Sejeong Joins Kang Tae Oh in New Historical Drama Adaptation of “Secret Garden”
On October 19, TenAsia’s exclusive report revealed that Kim Sejeong will be taking on the female lead role in MBC’s new historical drama “The Moon Flows Over the River” (working title).
As previously reported, Kang Tae Oh, known for his role in “Extraordinary Attorney Woo,” is taking the male leading role. Moreover, this upcoming historical drama project will be Kim Sejeong’s first historical drama to lead since her debut as an actress.
“Secret Garden”
The historical drama “The Moon Flows Over the River” is an adaptation of the popular series “Secret Garden.” The series, which was popular in 2010, stars great actors such as Hyun Bin, Ha Ji Won, Yoon Sang Hyun, and Kim Sa Rang. With a total of 20 episodes, the drama aired from November 2010 to January 2011.
This drama tells a unique love story between Kim Joo Won and Gil Ra Im. Kim Joo Won is an arrogant and eccentric CEO who always maintains his perfect image. Meanwhile, Gil Ra Im is a humble stuntwoman with excellent martial arts skills, which top actresses envy due to her beautiful face and ideal body.
They met accidentally when Joo Won mistook Ra Im for actress Park Chae Rin. Their relationship is full of disputes and arguments. Conflicts and arguments mark their relationship. However, beneath it all, Kim Joo Won is trying to conceal his interest in Gil Ra Im, feeling confused and disturbed by his feelings for her. For Hyun Bin’s successful portrayal of Kim Joo Won in the drama, he won the Daesang (Grand Prize) at the 47th Baeksang Arts Awards.
