LA Webfest (Los Angeles Web Series Festival), known as LA Web Series Festival, is one of the first web series-based events established in 2010. The first and largest web series festival is based in Los Angeles, California, and this year, the ceremony was held on May 4-5 (local time).

In the final, idol turned-actress AOA Kim Seolhyun won the Best Actress award at the 2023 LA Webfest award for her Summer Strike Korean drama role. She also won over Ha Yoon Song of Oh! Youngshim.

Summer Strike is an escapist “healing” Korean drama about people who declared life strike and leave their complicated lives in the big city. They then move to an unknown small seaside village, far from the hustle and bustle of the big city. In that place, they live without doing anything for a while. According to a report by Daum, at the pers conference of the drama in November 2022, director Lee revealed a unique fact about Kim Seohyun during the filming of the series,

“Seolhyun only applied BB cream on her face and filmed without any makeup. Seeing Seolhyun at the press conference today, I wondered if this was the face I had seen many times on the set. She also wore the same 2-3 old clothes all the time. So I asked Seolhyun if she could stop to wear them.

“It is true. I also took the clothes that I actually wore on a daily basis and filmed the scenes in those clothes.
