On January 12, Netflix has announced that Kim Woo Bin, Esom, and Kang Yoo Seok will be starring in their new Korean drama series “BLACK KNIGHT.”

After reviewing the offer last year, Kim Woo Bin, Esom, and Kang Yoo Seok will finally lead a dystopian drama series on Netflix, “BLACK KNIGHT.” Director Cho Ui Seok will be directing the Black Knight series. Previously, he helmed the blockbuster movies like Master, Cold Eyes, and The World of Silence.
In the new Netflix Korean drama series, “Black Knight,” Kim Woo Bin will be playing the legendary delivery knight 5-8, who has excellent battle skills.
The rookie actor Kang Yoo Seok will be playing Sa Wol. He is a refugee who aspires to be a delivery knight like 5-8, Woo Bin’s character.
Esom will be playing Seol Ah. She is a military officer at the Defense Intelligence Command who saved Sawol’s life and cares for him like her own family.

The upcoming Netflix series “Black Knight” is a Korean drama based on the popular webtoon “Delivery Knight,” which won the E-IP Pitching Award at the 2018 Asian Film Market.
The story is set in 2071 when the world suffers from high air pollution, and people depend on respirator masks to breathe. However, only 1% of the human race survived.
Strict rules have been enforced to protect the people, and many rely on delivery services for survival. Thus, it makes the delivery drivers have a crucial role in the survival of the human race.
Black Knight will follow the story of a legendary delivery driver called “5-8” and a refugee named Sa Wol. He dreams of being a delivery driver like “5-8.”
Kim Woo Bin long-awaited comeback in BLACK KNIGHT
Actor Kim Woo Bin is one of the popular models turned into actors in South Korea. He has performed in many famous dramas and movies such as School 2013, The Heirs, The Con Artist, Master, and Twenty.
He was on hiatus from 2017 to 2020 due to being diagnosed with cancer in 2017 and focusing on his recovery. New Netflix Korean drama “Black Knight” will mark Kim Woo Bin’s comeback into the small screen since his last drama, Uncontrollably Fond, in 2016.
