2024 KIFF Movie Lineup

Nandra Adizeza, the festival director for KIFF 2024, shared that the team has carefully curated the 2024 KIFF movie lineup. They have also divided the films into several categories. Among them are Feel Good Movies, Breathtaking Movies, Thrilling Action Crime Movies, Special Features presented by KCCI, and Remarkable Indonesian Movies.
Produced by CJ ENM, Lifelike Pictures, and BASE Entertainment, the Indonesian version of “My Annoying Brother” will be the opening film for the 2024 KIFF. This film is an adaptation of the 2016 Korean movie of the same name, which starred Cho Jung Seok and EXO’s D.O.
The Indonesian version of “My Annoying Brother” is not merely a remake of the original version. Director Dinna Jasanti, who also attended the press conference of 2024 KIFF alongside Lala Timothy, one of the producers of the movie, and Kristo Immanuel, one of the cast members of the movie, explained that in the process of making this film, she made deep cultural adjustments. By incorporating elements that resonate with Indonesian culture, she sought to make the movie more relevant to local audiences.
Furthermore, the 2024 KIFF will feature two captivating independent short films, “Bori” and “Apres Girl,” under the Special Feature presented by the KCCI category.
