Korean media journalists have finally spoken! You will be surprised how, despite their prominent, skyrocketing reputations and acting experience in Korea, these Korean actors had a series of events causing them to become Korean actors with the worst manner personalities and acting skills throughout the 2022 Korean movies. So, how did it happen, and what is the reason? Check out the following complete reports.
Korean Journalists Voted for Korean Actors with The WORST Manner Personalities and Acting Skills in 2022
On December 23, Korean media reported the result of a survey regarding Korean actors with the worst personalities and acting skills in 2022.
Previously, Sports Kyunghyang held a survey to vote for several categories for the 6th Wildberry Film Festival. The survey involved 34 Korean entertainment journalists leading the domestic media, voting for various categories in films released between December 2021 and November 30, 2022.
Two of these categories were Korean actors with the worst manners and personalities and Korean actors with the worst acting skills in 2022. And the results were completely unexpected, even raising the public’s eyebrows.
Top 3 Korean Actors and Actresses with the Worst Acting Skills in the 2022 Korean Movies
1. Ji An as Soo Ryun in ‘Serve the People’
Korean actress Ji An came out first in terms of Korean actors with the worst acting skills in the 2022 Korean movies.
Started her acting career in Korea in 2009, Ji An met an unfortunate point in 2022. With a total 21 votes out of 34 journalists, Ji An received the title because her acting skills as Soo Ryun in Serve the People looked completely plain and they came out misinterpreted.
Despite her utmost dedication to the role, media journalists believed that her acting skills were inadequate. They even felt sorry for Ji An’s co-star Yeon Woo Jin, who had given his all and performed magnificently with his impressive acting.
“There was never a scene that did not bother me.”
Korean journalist.
“It was an example of incorrect character interpretation.”
Korean journalist.
2. So Ji Sub as Moon Do Seok in ‘Alienoid’
The second place for Korean actors with the worst acting skills in 2022 Korean movies was So Ji Sub for his role as Moon Do Seok in Alienoid.
With an amazing list since he debuted his acting career in Korea, the name So Ji Sub came out as a surprise, indeed. However, it received 6 votes because they believed So Ji Sub was not cut out for this kind of role. Korean media journalists commented that So Ji Sub completely lost his charm, making them laugh a little.
“Let’s act better in something different, like romance.”
Korean journalist.
3. Cho Yi Hyun in ‘Ditto’ & Joo Won in ‘Carter’
The third place of worst acting skills in 2022 Korean movies belongs to two Korean actors since each had received the same exact 3 votes.
Cho Yi Hyun received 3 votes for having the worst acting skills in her role as Kim Mu Nee in the movie Ditto. The reason for her being in the top 3 was because Korean media journalists believed she was inexperienced in handling the dialogues.
Another Korean actor who received the same number, 3 votes, was Joo Won for his role as Carter Lee in the movie Carter. According to Korean media journalists, Joo Won displayed a character interpretation that was rootless and without basis. That is why he came in third place in Korean actors with the worst acting skills in 2022 Korean movies.
Top 3 Korean Actors/Actresses with the Worst Personalities and Manner
1. Ma Dong Seok
Korean’s most prominent movie actor Ma Dong Seok came out first among Korean actors with the worst manner and personalities. Although he is known for his excellent acting skill in Korea, Ma Dong Seok received a majority of 20 votes from Korean media journalists and became the worst-mannered actor in 2022. And the biggest reason for this placement was that Ma Dong Seok had never shown up in his movie promotions.
Ma Dong Seok was the producer and lead actor of the hit movie The Roundup, the first Korean movie to surpass 10 million admissions in 2022. However, despite his crucial role in the movie, Ma Dong Seok decided not to join the interviews for personal reasons. Instead, he only released self-answered questionnaires and interviews.
The comments also stated that he was concerned that there would be fewer publicity articles, but he refused to participate in mandatory interviews. As a result, all the remaining actors must show up without the main role in the promotional activities, resulting in bad evaluations for Ma Dong Seok. They claimed Ma Dong Seok was unprofessional and unable to lead a project.
And what makes it worse is that he did the same thing for another project, Men of Plastic.
“He wants to make the movie successful but doesn’t want to do interviews. Refusing an interview as a producer means failing to complete the public relations responsibility.”
Korean journalist.
“Ma Dong Seok shows no respect to his fellow actors. Who would want to promote the movie if he doesn’t want to do it himself.”
Korean journalist.
“This is the worst attitude from a producer and an actor.”
Korean journalist.
2. Kim Tae Ri
Actress Kim Tae Ri came out in the 2nd place in a survey of Korean actors with the worst manner and personality. And the most apparent reason for this issue was because of the childish attitude she displayed in various interviews.
According to the comments from media journalists, Kim Tae Ri’s childlike behaviors were too much. For example, she once inappropriately scribbled on papers throughout the interview. Another time, Kim Tae Ri even gave out too many criticisms towards the director who debuted overseas during one of her interviews.
Since South Korea has high regard for manners and respect towards other people, these inappropriate behaviors caused the journalists to declare that Kim Tae Ri had suffered the ‘Na Hee Do disease’ (her role in Twenty Five, Twenty One).
“The actress is suffering from the ‘Na Hee Do disease’ and showed the very worst manner personalities by reckoning carefreeness as a personal weapon.”
Korean journalist.
3. Nam Joo Hyuk
Finally, Nam Joo Hyuk came out the 3rd place in the survey of Korean actors with the worst manner and personalities.
Taking the place with 6 votes, Nam Joo Hyuk was deemed one of the Korean actors with the worst manners and personalities because of his school violence scandal. This scandal emerged ahead of the release of his movie, Remember. As a result, media journalists believed that his bad reputation had given a negative impact on the movie.
