Asian Academy Creative Awards Ceremony Returns 2022 After Pandemic Hiatus
On October 12, Korean media reported that top 4 outstanding Korean dramas have entered nominations at the Asian Academy Creative Awards 2022. These outstanding Korean dramas include “Hometown Cha Cha Cha”, “Our Blues”, “Twenty Five Twenty One”, and “Yumi’s Cells”.
Asian Academy Creative Awards is the largest content award ceremony in Asia. It reviews Asia’s content market for the whole year, then awards the ones that are deemed highly qualified and worthy. This event ceremony usually happens annually in Singapore, but due to the pandemic, it turned into an online ceremony for the last two years.
In 2022, Asian Academy Creative Awards returns with a full-fledged red carpet and award ceremony events.
“Hometown Cha Cha Cha”, “Our Blues”, “Twenty Five Twenty One”, and “Yumi’s Cells” Enter Nominations
Entering the nominations are the top 4 outstanding Korean dramas by Studio Dragon: “Hometown Cha Cha Cha”, “Our Blues”, “Twenty Five Twenty One”, and “Yumi’s Cells”.
The first nomination is for South Korea’s most romantic healing drama, “Hometown Cha Cha Cha”. Under the magic hands of director Yoo Je Won and writer Shin Ha Eun, the drama managed to secure a nomination for Best Direction.
Secondly, we have “Twenty Five Twenty One” entering the Best Drama category. If this title comes out as the winner, Studio Dragon will claim the Best Drama title for the second time after “Crash Landing on You” in 2020.
Next, star-studded healing drama, “Our Blues” and its writer No Hee Kyung becomes one of the nominees for Best Screenplay.
Finally, both seasons of “Yumi’s Cells” will have a chance to win as Best Original Program by Streaming/OTT Platform.
When is the Date?
Finally, Asian Academy Creative Awards 2022 award ceremony will happen on December 7 and 8 in Singapore. The 4 dramas will have to compete with various prominent productions from various countries. And it includes Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Philippines, China, Japan, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Australia, and Vietnam.
