Following the nominations of two Korean-language dramas, Pachinko and Extraordinary Attorney Woo, for Best Foreign Language Foreign Series, the 2023 Critics Choice Awards also nominated the Korean movie Decision To Leave for Best Foreign Language Film.
Korean Movie Decision to Leave Nominated at 2023 Critics Choice Awards
This year is the year of the Decision to Leave. After winning the trophy for Best Director Award at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival, the movie took home multiple awards from various film awards. In addition, the romance thriller movie has also been selected to represent South Korea at the 95th Academy Awards in 2023 for the Best International Feature Film.
After being nominated at the 2023 Golden Globes for Best Picture: Non-English Language, Decision to Leave, starring Tang Wei and Park Hae Il, has been nominated at the 28th Annual Critics Choice Awards for Best Foreign Language Film in 2023.
On December 14, the Critics Choice Awards announced Best Foreign Language Film nominees. Those are: “All Quiet on the Western Front” (Germany), “Argentina, 1985” (Argentina), “Close” (Belgium), “Decision to Leave” (South Korea), “Bardo, False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths” (Mexico), and “RRR” (India).
