ATEEZ Makes Donation for Victims of Itaewon Stampede Tragedy
The Itaewon crowd crush and stampede accident was a tragedy that turned the Halloween festival into a nightmare in South Korea. Hundreds of people killed, hundreds more injured, and more victims missing in a huge incident that brought South Korea into deep mourning. That was especially after we lost a kind-hearted and promising young actor, Lee Ji Han.
Following the huge incident, South Korea canceled various events in the wake of the Itaewon stampede tragedy to honor the fallen victims. Not only that, 4th gen Kpop group ATEEZ also paid their respects to the Itaewon tragedy victims by making a 100 million KRW donation.
Korean media reported on November 5 that Kpop group and global star ATEEZ had come to share the pain of the Itaewon stampede tragedy with the victims. The eight-member ensemble donated 100 million KRW (approximately 71,220 USD) to Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association.
Helping the Injured and Aiding Family of the Fallen
It was the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association who revealed to Korean media that ATEEZ had made the heartwarming donation for the victims.
The non-profit association also stated that ATEEZ agency KQ Entertainment said the members were also in deep mourning. That is why they wish they could provide even the slightest bit of help to those injured and the fallen victims’ families.
“The ATEEZ members are deeply mourning this accident. They decided to make this donation out of the desire to be even the slightest bit of help to the bereaved families of the victims, as well as those who were injured.”

Regarding the incident, South Korean government officials expressed their public apology and admitted their mistake.
