On January 30, Korean media outlets reported the growing popularity of the pantless trend look among Kpop idols. This look involves wearing extremely short pants in a short triangular line, resembling underwear. Some other prominent Kpop idols like BLACKPINK, SISTAR, LE SSERAFIM, and (G)I-DLE even opted out of wearing pants at all, exposing their legs and parts of their bottoms.
This trend has been causing growing concerns among Korean netizens, especially parents of young girls.

According to the report, it has been a while since the pantless trend look started dominating the Kpop idols’ outfits. However, it was not until recently that this look became a highlight among Kpop fans. LE SSERAFIM Chaewon and Yunjin were seen walking confidently in public in a pantless trend look, resembling underwear. Meanwhile, (G)I-DLE members showcased their incredible performance in “Super Lady” with pantless outfits.

At the same time, BLACKPINK members have been hyping the pantless trend look since last year. As they demonstrated their global popularity by following this trend, questions began emerged whether it was necessary for these Kpop idols to demonstrate such a trend.
