When you type a single letter on Google, it will show you various results. And these Kpop idols have a single-letter stage name which might become a nightmare to search on Google. However, they are known worldwide for their single-letter name.
Kpop Idols with single-letter name
1. BTS V
When I searched ”V” on Google, amazingly, the search engine showed precisely what I was looking for. Despite the single-letter name, it seems that Kim Taehyung, aka BTS V, is on top search. Initially, he had three options of his stage name: Six, Lex, and V. His fellow teammates and agency said that ”V” fits him best. Therefore, the lead dancer of BTS decided to go with ”V,” which stands for ”Victory.”
2. THE BOYZ Q
The main dancer of THE BOYZ, Ji Chang Min, has his own reason for choosing ”Q” as his stage name. He once explained that he decided ”Q” because the letter gives him the feeling that everything is starting.
3. VIXX N
Cha Hak Yeon has a deep reason for choosing ”N” as his stage name. It was inspired by Japanese. In Japan, the last syllable of Cha Hak Yeon is pronounced ”en,” which means ”fate” or ”destiny.” N chose the name because he believed that it was his fate to be in VIXX and meet ST★RIGHT.
4. INFINITE L
The stage name of INFINITE’s visual, Kim Myung Soo, was chosen because of his resemblance to the character L from the famous anime Death Note.
5. Golden Child Y
In an interview, the Kpop idol Choi Seong Yoon revealed that he chose ”Y” as his stage name to represent Yoon, the last syllable of his real name.
6. STAY C J
STAY C’s maknae, Jang Ye Eun, almost debuted with ”Cindy” as her stage name. However, fans think that ”J” suits her perfectly, and it is her first initial too!
7. TST K
It seems that Kim Ah In, TST’s main dancer, chose ”K” as his stage name because of the initials of his family name.
8. Shinhwa M
Lee Min Woo initially uses his real name as a Kpop idol. However, he chose the stage name ”M” for his solo artist back in 2003.
9. ONF U
”U” is pronounced the same as the first syllable of ONF’s main dancer’s real name, Mizuguchi Yuto. So that might be where this Japanese Kpop idol got the idea of using ”U” as his stage name.
10. I
Korean soloist Cha Yoon Ji once explained that she chose ”I” as her stage name was because she wants to be the “I” who is dancing and singing. Besides, she likes its other meanings and homonyms: ”me,” ”eye,” ”and ”ai” in Chinese, which means ”love.”
