**LE SSERAFIM Holds the Highest First-Day Sales by Female Artist with UNFORGIVEN Album**

Holding a dark past and a leash to a brighter future in both hands, Kpop 4th gen super rookie and HYBE’s first-class princesses LE SSERAFIM recently made a highly anticipated comeback with their first full album, UNFORGIVEN.

On May 1, LE SSERAFIM launched the digital version of their very first studio album, UNFORGIVEN. Sporting their iconic image of elegance and sexiness, LE SSERAFIM members demonstrated excellent vocals and one of the most highly synchronized dancing in Kpop girl group history.

Defeating Predecessor and Previous Record Holder BLACKPINK

Hanteo Chart reported on May 2 that LE SSERAFIM first studio album UNFORGIVEN recorded a total sale of 1,024,034 copies. With this new record, LE SSERAFIM now holds the highest first-day sales record by any female artist throughout Hanteo history.

Still, what makes this record more impressive is that it didn’t even take them the whole 24 hours to set the new record and beat their predecessors and previous record holder, BLACKPINK.

Previously, BLACKPINK sold an outstanding total of 1,011,266 copies for their 2022 album, BORN PINK. As a result, they became the first female artist whose album sold over a million copies on the first day it released.

Today, LE SSERAFIM has defeated BLACKPINK, setting a new record with a significant margin of ± 12,768 album copies. With this new record, LE SSERAFIM now places fifth in the overall highest first-day album sales. The only groups that place above them are SEVENTEEN, BTS, TXT, and Stray Kids.

At the end of the day, LE SSERAFIM once again proves their outstanding quality with such a historic achievement. And they did it in only a year after their official debut.
