The sensational virtual Kpop girl group from League of Legends, K/DA, finally receives first official gold certification for “POP/STARS” from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
On July 30, the official Instagram account of League of Legends developer, Riot Games’, music production division announced that K/DA, ft. (G)I-DLE Miyeon and Soyeon, has received their first gold record for their “POP/STARS” single.

In the beginning, League of Legends K/DA was founded in 2018 by Riot Games to promote their music and champion skins. However, apparently K/DA turned into such a hype, especially after involving (G)I-DLE Miyeon and Soyeon as their singing voices.
As a result, K/DA first single, “POP/STARS”, immediately topped Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart after its release.
League of Legends K/DA 2020 Comeback Single, “MORE”
In October 2020, the League of Legends virtual Kpop girl group made a comeback with a new single, “MORE”. Furthermore, Riot Games released the comeback as a launching event of new K/DA skin series in the League of Legends and LOL: Wild Rift games.

Since it was their first comeback after “POP/STARS”, K/DA (ft. (G)I-DLE Miyeon and Soyeon) gained massive attention from the music industry. Therefore, the music video itself has reached over 106 million views on YouTube in less than a year.
