The long wait will soon be over! BLACKPINK is returning to the stage with their official comeback in 2022 very soon, so check out the following leaked information and release date.
Information Leaked that BLACKPINK to Make 2022 Comeback Very Soon – Here’s The Suspected Release Date
After a very long and almost painful wait, BLINK fans can finally sigh in relief after leaked updates and the release date that BLACKPINK will soon return to the stage with their official 2022 comeback.
On April 26, various Korean media leaked some information about BLACKPINK upcoming comeback 2022 and its approximate release date. And this will be the highly-anticipated comeback of BLACKPINK after 2020.
When is the Release Date?
As of today, there has been detailed information about the exact release date of BLACKPINK comeback 2022. However, the leaked update stated that fans could expect BLACKPINK comeback to be sometime in June 2022.
This leaked information about BLACKPINK 2022 comeback is also supported by Jennie’s previous witty remark on her YouTube channel.
“We will come back soon!”
BLACKPINK Jennie.
Along with her YouTube remark, BLACKPINK Jennie also teased about the group’s comeback being in the near future.
“BLACKPINK is preparing to make a comeback soon. I don’t know if I’m allowed to say this, but since I’m here on my own today, I’ll say what I want. Please cheer us on a lot.”
BLACKPINK Jennie.
Supporting her dongsaeng, BLACKPINK Jisoo also once hinted on her Weverse answer that BLACKPINK would return this summer.
“I also want to let you hear our cool songs as soon as possible. Haha.
I think we’ll come when it’s.. a bit.. a bit hotter! 😟😀😰😥”
BLACKPINK Jisoo.
The Reason Behind BLACKPINK’s DELAYED Comeback
Indeed, as one of the most promising and famous 3rd generation Kpop girl groups, BLACKPINK is truly behind their other peers in terms of original singles, albums, and group activities.
Sure, BLACKPINK members outstandingly excel as individuals, especially after LISA’s and Rosé’s solo debut, Jennie’s hectic Calvin Klein schedule, and Jisoo’s acting debut with “Snowdrop”. However, as a Kpop girl group in general, there’s not much they have officially accomplished after their successful comeback in 2020.
So, why did YG postpone BLACKPINK 2022 comeback for so long? Did they do it intentionally for some kind of prologue to the grand return? Or is there any other reason?
Indeed, there’s no official statement from the company itself. However, as discussed in the previous article, the suspected reason for the delayed BLACKPINK comeback in 2022 was mostly because of the lack of manpower. After all, BLACKPINK’s 5th member, Teddy, is still busy with the preparation for YG’s new girl group, Baby Monster.
Fans’ Mixed Reaction to the Leaked Information and Release Date of BLACKPINK Comeback 2022
Following the leaked reports of BLACKPINK comeback 2022, you may think that BLINK fans will automatically shout out in pure happiness and excitement. However, while some fans have been in joy with the updates, some other fans remain skeptical.
We all know how much value BLACKPINK’s name holds in the music industry. Therefore, YG seems to have used their name plenty of times to give BLINK fans false hope for an OT4 comeback, while in reality, they only prepared some recycled materials like multiple remixes and versions of BLACKPINK’s old songs.
Besides, it has been truly a while since YG Entertainment released news and updates about BLACKPINK OT4 official activities. Therefore, it makes the fans think whether the company still wishes to maintain BLACKPINK as a full group.
That is why, even when leaked information mentioned that BLACKPINK would return very soon, it no longer brings immediate joy and excitement to the fans.

Im getting tired of comeback this year and drought for another 2-3 years with the reason that “we are careful of what we put out there”. blackpink’s discography is so limited that its hard to stan them. This old trick is not going to work for a long time @ygent_official

I choose to be sceptical. I won't expect too much from Blackpink comeback this time, so I won't get disappointed.
hear hear! Me too.. I mean, YG has done enough to lift our expectation only to shut them down again.
