Lee Jae Wook to Star in New Netflix K-Drama Series “Honeycomb Project”
On April 4, a local news outlet reported that actor Lee Jae Wook will take the leading role in the new Netflix K-drama series “Honeycomb Project” (tentative title).
In response to the casting reports, a representative from the actor’s agency, Log Studio, confirmed the news and stated,
“It is true that he will be participating in the new Netflix K-drama series “Honeycomb Project.””

The upcoming Netflix K-drama series, “Honeycomb Project,” is a horror fantasy drama series. The story follows a man in his 30s, Byeon Hyeok Jun, who starts a high-paying part-time job that leads to unforeseen events.
The series will have eight episodes. Lee Jae Wook will play Byeon Hyeok Jun. He is expected to captivate the viewers through his portrayal and action scenes as he navigates through strange experiences.
Director Han Jun Hee is the drama’s creator, while director Kim Damin will take over the megaphone. The talented director Han Jun Hee is known for his famous series such as “Coin Locker Girl” (2015) and “D.P.” (2021, 2023). Meanwhile, director Kim Damin’s well-known works include “Makgeolli Will Tell You,” a.k.a “FAQ” (2023), and “A Killer Paradox” (2024).
In addition, the series will start filming soon. The Shortcake production company, which previously produced “D.P.,”will handle the production.

Following his latest drama, “The Impossible Heir,” in 2024, Lee Jae Wook’s new projects will be released sometime this year. These projects include “Last Summer” and “Dear Hongrang.”
“Last Summer” is a romance fantasy where he teams up with actress Choi Sung Eun from “The Sound of Magic.”
Meanwhile, “Dear Hongrang,” is a start-studded historical mystery romance based on the famous novel “Tangeum: Swallowing Gold” by Jang Da Hye. He works with Jo Bo Ah, Jung Ga Ram, Uhm Ji Won, Park Byung Eun, and Kim Jae Wook in this show.
Recently, the actor was offered to star in a new medical drama based on a Webtoon, “HODL Doctor.” However, there have been no further updates regarding the actor’s involvement in the production.
Soon, Lee Jae Wook fans will be able to watch the actor in his first appearance as a regular cast member in the variety show “Fresh-off the Sea 2.” In this show, the actor and other top stars will explore marine activities and dive into delicious Korean dishes.
