Last seen in the action-crime drama Taxi Driver 2, actor Lee Je Hoon will soon star in a new Korean drama series Chief Inspector 1963.
Actor Lee Je Hoon to Star in MBC New Drama CHIEF INSPECTOR 1963
South Korean actor Lee Je Hoon who became the most buzzworthy Korean drama actor with his latest drama, Taxi Driver 2, has finally confirmed his next drama series project. On April 24, MBC announced that Lee Je Hoon would star in the prequel of MBC’s hit K-drama series Chief Inspector 1963 (working title).

According to the OSEN report, Director Kim Sung Hoon will be directing the upcoming mystery drama. His famous works include My Little Hero (2013), Confidential Assignment 1 (2017), and Rampant (2018).
Furthermore, Park Jae Beom of Vincenzo and The Fiery Priest will create the story and Kim Young Shin will write the script. In addition, Barunson Studio Co., Ltd. will produce the series.
New Korean Drama CHIEF INSPECTOR 1963
Chief Inspector (1971) is the first crime investigation drama in Korea that was the most popular in the 1970s and 1980s. The drama series gained the highest viewership rating of 70%. The upcoming drama Chief Inspector 1963 will be the prequel to the hit drama series.
Set in the 1960s, Chief Inspector 1963 chronicles the adventures of detective Park Young Han and his three fellow detectives as they chase down infamous criminals and work for justice in the people’s best interests.
In the new mystery drama, Lee Je Hoon will play the young detective Park Young Han. In the original drama, actor Choi Bool Am portrayed the character. Lee Je Hoon’s performance is expected to add new excitement as he pursues a mission to bring justice and dignity back to the world.
Additionally, fans of the original series will be excited to see the return of their favorite detectives as they work together to fight notorious criminals and bring justice to the people.
The upcoming MBC mystery drama Chief Inspector 1963 is expected to start filming in the second half of this year.
