Lee Jong Won and Kim Sejeong Confirmed to Headline ENA’s New Rom-Com Drama Series “Drunk Romance”
On April 29, ENA announced its new Korean drama lineup that will air in the second half of the year as part of its 20th anniversary celebration. One of the dramas is “Drunk Romance,” originally known as “In the Name of Alcohol.”
ENA revealed that Lee Jong Won and Kim Sejeong will star in the new rom-com Korean drama “Drunk Romance.” And this upcoming romantic comedy Korean drama series will be their first collaboration.
“Drunk Romance” will be Jong Won’s next project this year following his recent work “Knight Flower” with Honey Lee. Meanwhile, it will be Kim Sejeong’s comeback project following “The Uncanny Counter Season 2: Counter Punch” in 2023. The new drama will also be Sejeong’s comeback project in the rom-com genre following “A Business Proposal” in 2022.
Korean Drama “Drunk Romance” Plot, Cast, and Characters
The upcoming romantic comedy Korean drama “Drunk Romance” tells the love story of two individuals working in the liquor industry. The male lead, played by Lee JongWon, is a local beer brewer. Meanwhile, the female lead, played by Kim Sejeong, is a sales representative at a liquor company. She tries to save the company from a crisis.
Currently, there is no information regarding the characters’ names or other actors who will feature in the drama yet.
Production
Director Park Sunho, known for directing “Suspicious Partner,” “Wok of Love,” and “Business Proposal,” will take the megaphone. The upcoming project will mark director Park Sunho and Sejeong’s second collaboration after “A Business Proposal” in 2022.
A source stated that “Drunk Romance” recently completed the script reading and will begin filming next month. In addition, “Drunk Romance” is currently under discussion for scheduling on the ENA network.
