The first DUI charge happened when “Squid Game” actor Lee Jung Jae caused an accident while driving in an intoxicated condition. He was drunk and driving his BMW car around Gangnam-gu at 2 AM when his car crashed the vehicle belonging to a 23-year-old female office worker.

“A while ago, Y left for heaven. [Before he died,] I said to Y, ‘You should stop being gay. Haven’t you been that way enough?’ But it was not easy.”

Furthermore, an existing news article from Korea JoongAng Daily in 2013 reported the same incidents of Lee Jung Jae. It was the time around the death of creative director Woo Jong Wan, a close friend of Lee Jung Jae. Director Woo was found dead in his Seoul apartment after committing suicide.
